Show recommended by the Spanish Network of Theatres, Feten 2020 Award for the best female performance. + 6 years old and family audiences
Paul is the only child and the king of his house. The birth of his sister Irati will cause an intimate fear of no longer being loved to take hold of him, threatening family stability.
ÚniKo is a show for all audiences aged 6 and over, which aims to be a reflection of what jealousy over the birth of a sibling can cause in a child and his or her environment. Mixing the techniques of puppetry and the most realistic theatre, we raise the disturbing subject of jealousy, looking at it head on in all its crudeness, although without ever losing our sense of humour.
On stage we will parade Paul, his parents, his sister Irati, his grandmother, Paul's teacher and Richi -his teddy bear and alter ego of his conscience-, with the aim of making a family show in its broadest sense, as both children and adults will find situations and characters in which they will feel recognised.
We hope that it will serve to have a good time and, at the same time, to reflect all together about subjects such as education, self-esteem, sadness and attachment.
