Today October 10th is World Mental Health Day. For this reason the City Council has joined the campaign "Conect@ con la vida" of the World Federation of Mental Health in order to symbolize the importance of suicide prevention as well as the need for sufficient resources and support to enable proper care for people.

With this aim in mind, users of the Maite Boronat Occupational Centre have read a manifesto and have subsequently represented this connection with life through hugs. Both users of the Maite Boronat and other council workers and councillors have taken a picture of themselves giving each other a hug and then sharing it on social networks with the hashtag #ConectaConLaVida. The aim is to viralize this campaign and make visible the need to prevent suicide. According to the WHO, 10 people commit suicide every day in Spain.
