Aguas de Calpe donates one euro to Caritas for each subscriber who opts for electronic billing
Aguas de Calpe, Cáritas Calpe and the town council have signed an agreement stipulating that for every subscriber who opts for electronic billing, the entity that manages the water service in the municipality will give one euro to Cáritas Calpe.
The aim of Aguas de Calpe is to reduce the consumption of raw materials, energy, waste and emissions into the environment. Currently, of the total number of subscribers in Calp, more than 19,000, 20% of Aguas de Calpe's customers are registered for e-billing, and with this campaign it is hoped that the goal of 50% of subscribers opting for e-billing can be achieved.
The aim is that Cáritas Calpe, an important institution in providing assistance to needy families in the municipality, will benefit from this measure and that the subscriber will switch to digital billing with the incentive of helping this Calpe-based NGO.
To publicise the initiative, a campaign was prepared and presented by the mayor, Ana Sala, the managing director of Aguas de Calpe, José Alberto Mut, and the president of Cáritas Calpe, Miguel Ángel Marcos. The campaign informs users about the possibility of switching to electronic bills, thus contributing to the fight against poverty in the municipality.
