The local police of Calp issued a total of 27 reports for non-compliance with the COVID-19 prevention measures from 1 January to 2 February.
Specifically, 13 charges were filed for non-compliance or improper use of the mask, 9 charges for violation of the restriction of movement at night, 1 charge for violation of the extraordinary closing hours of the catering and hospitality industry and 4 charges for violation of hygiene and prevention measures involving less than 15 people. In the latter case, it was the celebration of a birthday in the Hermitage area.
As reported by the local police, the charges for not wearing the mask are filed in cases where the citizen, after first being warned that he or she must wear the mask and trying to circumvent this behaviour, continues without putting it on, so the number of charges is not higher. Fines for not wearing a mask can be up to 100 euros.
The City Council appeals for responsibility and insists on compliance with the mask requirement, maintaining social distance, ventilating rooms and insisting on cleanliness and disinfection. The City Council also insists on the measures in force regarding the curfew at 22:00, the closure of the hotel, avoid meetings of more than 2 people in public spaces, limit meetings in the houses to cohabitants and the perimeter containment of the Regio Valencia.
The City Council keeps parks, gardens, sports facilities and cultural and recreational facilities closed. Green spaces and recreational areas as well as dog parks also remain closed.
