The mayor of Calp, Ana Sala, has sent a letter to the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, making all municipal human and material resources available to the regional government as part of the vaccination campaign against Covid19.
The letter states that the municipality will provide sports pavilions, sports facilities, cultural spaces and public car parks so that the citizens of Calpe can go to be vaccinated with the guarantee that the necessary security spaces will be maintained, or even that they can be vaccinated without having to leave their vehicles.
However, any municipal space that the Generalitat deems appropriate will be ceded by the Consistory to allow the vaccination of the citizens of Calp in the shortest possible time.
The mayor, Ana Sala, said that "it is necessary that the different administrations work together to defeat the pandemic, our priority is that the largest part of the population is vaccinated as soon as possible and for this we are putting all our personal and material resources at the disposal of the Generalitat".
The Consell announced a few days ago the formation of a working group to identify large areas (such as car parks or sports facilities) where this mass vaccination will be carried out from April, so possible locations such as sports pavilions or the Avenida Romania car park have already been identified by the council.
