Next Saturday, 27 September, Calpe Town Council is joining the national ‘1m² for beaches and seas’ campaign with a litter collection at Cala Manzanera. The initiative, part of the LIBERA Project promoted by SEO/BirdLife and Ecoembes, aims to raise public awareness of the impact of litter on natural environments, especially coastal areas.
The activity will take place between 10:00 and 12:00 and is open to all citizens. The meeting point will be Cala Manzanera, and for approximately two hours, participants will collaborate in the removal of waste with the logistical support of Calpe Town Council, through the Calpe Blau programme, and volunteer staff.
The organisation will provide the necessary materials for the collection (gloves and bags), insurance for participants and coordination throughout the activity, which is completely free of charge.
Calpe Town Council encourages citizens to join this initiative, which contributes to keeping the municipality's natural areas clean and reinforces the collective commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
