Calpe Town Council has announced the winners of the 10th Open Air Painting Competition, an artistic event that is now firmly established in the municipality's cultural calendar and which last Saturday brought together numerous participants of different ages and backgrounds in the streets of the historic centre.
The competition, organised by the Culture Council, aims to promote pictorial creativity in the urban and natural environment of the municipality, as well as to support local artists and encourage art among the younger population.
In this tenth edition, several categories have been established: adults, children and young people, and the winners are as follows:
Adult category
First prize: Jessica González Prados
Second prize: Paco Rojas García
Third prize: Juan Carlos Isarte Muñoz
Best local adult artist: Jesús Rondón Corro
Children's category
First prize: Mykhailo Trukhachev
Second prize: Valeria Cheosa
Third prize: Maria Vlasyuk
Best local child artist: Marina Linares Kolesnikova
Youth category
Winner: Laura Aparicio Caballero
This year, the high artistic level of the works submitted and the participation of both residents and visitors, who came to enjoy the cultural atmosphere generated during the competition, which was enlivened by the music band, stood out.
The winning works will soon be on display in an exhibition.
