Álex Coca Malagón has been sworn in as councillor for Calpe Town Council, representing the Somos Calpe municipal group, at the extraordinary plenary session held this afternoon. Coca replaces Juan Manuel del Pino, who resigned as councillor at the plenary session in December when the municipal budget was finally approved, following his decision to leave political life.
The mayoress of Calpe, Ana Sala, presented him with the insignia and institutional medal and welcomed him to the corporation and to the new stage he is beginning in the service of the public interest. In her speech, Sala highlighted Álex Coca's youth, enthusiasm and eagerness to take on challenges.
The delegations that the new councillor will assume are expected to be announced in the coming days.
