Starting tomorrow, students from Calpe who are studying outside the municipality can apply for transportation grants for the 2024/2025 school year. This year, the budget allocated for these grants reaches €140,000.
These grants aim to provide financial support to help cover part of the transportation costs for students who study outside the municipality of Calpe during the 2024-2025 school year.
Eligible recipients of these grants include students who were enrolled during the 2024-2025 school year in Baccalaureate studies (only the programs not offered in schools in Calpe), Intermediate and Advanced Vocational Training, professional artistic education, higher artistic education, undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral university studies, as well as distance university education, UNED, and online programs. (all modalities), in a Public Education Center, a Private Subsidized Education Center, or a Private Education Center located outside the municipality of Calpe and within national territory and recognized by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of the Government of Spain.
To apply for the grants, applicants must be registered residents of Calpe for at least two years, be up to date with their tax obligations with the City Council, the Tax Agency, and Social Security, submit the application and the rest of the required documentation on time and in the proper manner, and have passed at least 50% of the enrolled subjects.
The maximum amount of aid will be, in the case of Baccalaureate (only the programs not offered at schools in Calpe), Intermediate or Advanced Vocational Training up to €264 if the distance is less than 20 kilometers and up to €396 if it is more than 20 kilometers; for professional artistic education up to €264 if the distance is less than 20 km and up to €396 if it is more than 20 km; for higher artistic education up to €396 if the distance is less than 20 km and up to €528 if it is more than 20 km. In the case of university degree, master's, and doctoral programs, up to €396 if the distance is less than 20 km and up to €528 if it is more than 20 km, and for UNED and online distance university programs €198.
The application can be completed online or in person at the OAC through the electronic headquarters procedure on the municipal website. The application submission period is set from November 28 to December 9.
