Calp City Council mourns the death of councillor Ascen Lopez

Calp Town Hall regrets the sad news that PSOE councillor Ascen Lopez passed away today. The Mayor of Calp, Ana Sala, on behalf of the Town Council expresses its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and relatives for this terrible loss.

As a sign of mourning, the Mayor of Calp has signed a decree declaring 23 December as the city's official day of mourning:

• Flags on all municipal buildings will fly at half-mast with black ribbons as a sign of mourning.
• All public events organised by the city of Calp will be suspended.

In addition, no Christmas carols will be heard on the streets both today and tomorrow
