Calp City Council plans to purchase four new electric vehicles and two hybrid vehicles for the local police and civil protection. To this end, it will invest 205,700 euros from the 2019 budget surplus, taking advantage of the fact that the central government stipulates that municipalities can use 7 per cent of the previous year's surplus to finance electric vehicles or vehicles with a zero eco-label or ultimately with an ECO label.
With this investment, Calp City Council will purchase a 4x4 hybrid vehicle and two electric motorbikes for the local police, and another 4x4 hybrid vehicle and two electric motorbikes for civil protection.
The City Council plans to approve the budgetary amendment allowing this acquisition at the next plenary session on Tuesday 13 October.
