Today, the institutional event for the International Day against Gender Violence took place in the Saló Blau of the Casa de Cultura, where the mayor presented a manifesto and the students of IES Ifach also read several poems they had written themselves in the Poetry Competition against Gender Violence, which is aimed at IES students. The event, organised by the Department of Equal Rights, brought together all the sectors of the Town Council, the City Council, the Local Police, the Civil Guard, the Calp Women's Association for Equality and the Association of Employers participating in a campaign against gender violence, as well as teachers and students of the IES.

Following the programme, the Association of Women for Equality will show the film "The Dark Chamber" this afternoon, 25 November, with an online debate with the director Victoria Menis. Throughout the week the visual campaign "Don't be fooled, break the silence, it's your life, it's your rights" will be broadcast. And on 27 November, an online seminar to raise awareness of gender-based violence will take place, organised by the Equality Department.
