Since 2019, the Youth Department has been working on an ambitious local youth plan, which is part of the Valencian Youth Strategy and has a duration of 5 years.
According to the mayor of the region, Rebeca Merchan, "the project is currently in phase 1, which is the most demanding phase of the project, whose basic foundation is the collection of information. For this we are working across the board with other councils and in cooperation with I.E.S. Ifach - Gymnasium, to which we are grateful for its support over the past months. All this is possible thanks to the fact that at the end of 2019 we obtained the IVAJ subsidized employment of our youth technician, who has been leading a fantastic youth team since its creation and who works hand in hand with the various actors involved, including the IVAJ and the Xarxa Jove".
The main objective of the Council is to create a youth policy, to use the resources available and to promote a suitable environment for young citizens of Calp, always taking into account the wide range of ages and bearing in mind that leisure is important, but also training, employment and youth associations.
