The Associació de Moros i Cristians Santíssim Crist de la Suor will celebrate this weekend the events of the "Mig Any", the festive equator that will allow to say goodbye to the festive charges of 2023 and to welcome the new captains, standard bearers, and ensigns.

On Friday, the different "filaes" will have dinner in the kábilas and at 23:30 the popular "xaranga" will begin in the Plaza del Mosquit. Saturday will be the most important day of the fiestas. The most awaited event will take place in the Plaza Mayor at 20:30: the change, farewell, and presentation of the 2023 and 2024 fiesta charges.

This will be the moment when José Pineda Fluixá and Marian Femenía Pastor, from the Filà Mascarats , and Angel Moya Rodríguez and Cristina Andrés Magrañal, from the Filà Almogávares will bid farewell as Moorish Captain and Favourite and Christian Captain and First Lady respectively, to give way to the 2024 Captains, Quico and Andrea Thewissen Pastor, from the Filà Moriscos and Miguel Crespo Martínez and Fani Poquet Mut from the Filà Contrabandistas.

Another important position is that of standard bearer of the Asociación de Moros y Cristianos, which this year will go to Puri Verdú Balaguer of the Filà Almogávares, who will take over from Tania García García of the Filà Tuareg. As for the Christian and Moorish ensigns, Marcos Fernández de Bulder from Contrabandistas and Andreu Sellés Perles from Moriscos will pass the baton to Joaquim Pastor Pastor from Filà Mozárabes and Juan Ramón Clares Trabalón from Filà Tuareg.

Sunday will begin with the traditional paella competition in Conde de Altea street. In the afternoon, the children's parade of corporals and squadrons will bring the Mig Any Fester to an end. This Mig Any marks the debut of the new board of the Associació de Moros i Cristians Santíssim Crist de la Suor, chaired by Rocío Pastor.
