This Friday, 1st March, Calpe is hosting the 2nd Jovempa Marina Alta and Marina Baixa Business Meeting, an event that aims to raise awareness among young entrepreneurs in the two regions about key factors that can help them to grow their projects. The event is organised by these two business organisations together with Calpe Town Council and Crema-Calpe.

Juan Oltra, CEO of Grupo Sol y Mar, and David Devesa, CEO of Devesa Abogados, will speak at the conference, which will take place at 19:00 at the Hotel Suitopía, and will talk about their experiences in their respective business careers.

Juan Oltra runs this family hotel company that is in the process of expansion with the upcoming opening of three hotels outside Calpe: in Valencia, Pobla de Farnals and Benicassim. On the other hand, David Devesa, founder of the Alicante law firm Devesa Abogados in 2007, was recently elected lawyer of the year in the category of Family Business Law Best Lawyers by the reputable North American directory Best Lawyers.

"This meeting will allow us to hear first-hand the stories of two leading figures in the business world, how they got to where they are now, which will undoubtedly enrich us and give us more knowledge to apply to our companies," said the president of JOVEMPA Marina Alta, Carolina Vallés.

The event is intended to be participatory so that attendees can ask their questions and concerns. At the end of the talk there will be a space for networking.

Business people interested in attending should register at marinaalta@jovempa.org or marinabaixa@jovempa.org.

"From the Calpe Town Hall we have always supported the business network because the self-employed and companies are the economic engine of the country; we are therefore proud to host an event of this nature that helps to put entrepreneurs in contact with each other, to share synergies and ultimately to continue working and making their businesses a little more prosperous," said the mayor of Calpe, Ana Sala.
