Casa Nova hosted yesterday the public presentation of the results of Calpe Next Solutions, a comprehensive strategy driven by the Calpe Association of Entrepreneurs (AEMCO) and the Calpe City Council, aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the local business fabric, promoting economic sustainability, and jointly planning the productive future of the municipality.

During the event, attended by business representatives, professionals from various sectors, experts, and institutional officials, the main conclusions of the participatory diagnosis carried out throughout 2025 were presented. This diagnosis involved the direct participation of 60 participants through qualitative interviews, representing the key economic sectors of the municipality, public institutions, social agents, and social agents and specialists from the academic and business sectors of the province of Alicante.

Through a methodological process supported by scientific analysis techniques, such as benchmarking and network analysis applied to the local business structure, the project has identified 88 issues that affect the competitiveness of the municipality's business fabric and 41 strategic capabilities needed to address them. As a result of this work, six strategic axes and a total of 36 priority actions have been defined, addressing issues such as local economic governance, digital transformation, innovation, sustainability, talent, and the promotion of entrepreneurship.

The result is a five-year roadmap that guides the strategic planning of Calpe's business network, offering a practical framework for both public and private actors and providing a shared vision that allows anticipating challenges and seizing development opportunities.

Statements from the project directors:

Iker Jimeno, director of research consultancy at Lankoa, highlighted during the event that "Calpe Next Solutions demonstrates that strategic planning is only effective when it is built from the territory, listening to companies and generating a shared vision. The commitment shown by the local business network is a clear indicator of Calpe's capacity to tackle the challenges of the coming years with confidence." Meanwhile, Josep Tur-Vives, project director at Lankoa, emphasized that "the project is not merely a technical document, but a living structure of public-private cooperation. Its value lies in the fact that it combines methodological rigor, genuine participation, and a fully applied orientation toward decision-making. Calpe now has a strategic tool to move towards a more innovative, competitive, and sustainable economic model”.
