Calpe sets up new traffic lights to improve pedestrian safety

The city of Calpe has started this week to install new traffic lights at several locations in the city,

The first traffic lights were placed on the Avenida Diputación, 42 and on the Avenida de los Ejércitos Españoles at the crossroads with calle Santamaría and calle Polonia.

The aim of these new traffic lights is to improve pedestrian safety at several points of conflict.

Ana Sala, Mayor of Calpe, explained that "these new traffic lights will help to improve safety when crossing the main streets of the city".

"We want drivers to drive more carefully and respect speed limits," Sala added.
