Calpe Town Council has carried out a major renovation of the technical equipment at the Jaume Pastor i Fluixà Casa de Cultura Auditorium. The project, with a municipal investment of €17,000, reinforces the auditorium's capacity to host more complex and larger-scale artistic productions.

The improvements include the acquisition of two state-of-the-art moving heads, a diode laser, and a smoke machine, elements that significantly expand the auditorium's visual and stage possibilities. This new equipment is in addition to the recent upgrades to the sound and lighting systems, representing a qualitative leap in the technological infrastructure of this municipal facility.

With this renovation, the Calpe Auditorium is positioning itself as a benchmark in the region by offering competitive technical conditions for professional companies, festivals, and large-scale tours. The Town Council's objective is for this new equipment to act as a stimulus for companies, producers, and artists to choose Calpe as the venue for their shows, reinforcing the municipality's image as a true “sea of culture.”

The technological reinforcement of the Auditorium is part of a general dynamic of growth in cultural activity promoted by the Calpe Town Council. According to the balance sheet prepared by the Culture Department, in 2025 there were 33,839 attendees at the programmed activities, representing an increase of close to 26% compared to 2024, when there were 26,924 users. This increase in attendance is directly related to the progressive improvement of the facilities and an increasingly varied and stable program throughout the year.

At the same time, the cultural offering has also experienced a notable quantitative leap. During 2025, 264 activities were carried out, compared to 227 in 2024 and 151 in 2023, representing an approximate growth of 75% in just two years. Particularly noteworthy is the performing arts sector, with 49 theatrical performances (more than double the previous year), along with 52 concerts, 15 film screenings, 10 dance performances, and 138 other events, including exhibitions, conferences, institutional events, and guided tours.
