On 2 February, Calpe Town Council is organising a training day on ethics and integrity in public procurement, which will include various presentations. The programme will start with the presentation "Practical measures to promote integrity in all phases of public procurement" by the lawyer and procurement consultant, Javier Vázquez Matilla, followed by the presentation "The transformation of procurement in Calpe: walking towards excellence" by the Calpe Town Council's Procurement Department.
Another speaker will be Gustavo Segura Huerta, Director of Analysis and Research of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency, with "The management of the Internal Information System in the Local Administration". Tomorrow's session will close with the intervention of Rocío Fernández Serrano, deputy assistant director of the Head of the Unit for the telematic rendering of accounts at the Court of Audit, with the talk "Accounting responsibility before the Court of Audit".
In the afternoon, two new presentations are scheduled: "The practical application of internal control in minor contracting" by the auditor of the Sant Vicent del Raspeig City Council Elena García Martínez and "Dynamic procurement systems: the practical experience of the Madrid City Council" by Juan José Orquín Serrano, deputy secretary general of the Madrid City Council Plenary.
The conference is aimed at civil servants involved and interested in recruitment, regardless of their qualification group or the post they hold, as well as at municipal policy makers. Registration is free of charge and must be completed between 8 and 25 January, with the only limitation being the capacity of the Auditorium of the Casa de Cultura.
As a culmination of the day, a gala dinner has been organised for the evening of Friday 2 February. Those wishing to attend the dinner must register for it and we will send them the details so that they can pay for it, as well as all the necessary information.
