The city of Calpe is preparing a New Year's Eve party that will take place on Plaza de la Villa. The celebrations will include activities for all target groups and the distribution of cava (Spanish sparkling wine), grapes and a bag of cotillon to celebrate the start of the New Year.
The party starts at 5pm with a mobile disco for children. At 6 pm there will be a mini disco with singing games and visits to popular cartoon characters. At 7 pm children from Calpe celebrate their own bells with Lacasitos chocolates. Afterwards a performance of the magician Álvaro is planned, and at 20 o'clock the mobile disco comes back and the small children can be photographed with the cartoon characters.
The New Year's Eve party continues at 11 pm when the local group Trilogy performs and entertains the evening with big pop rock hits. At midnight, the bells ring to greet the New Year.
At 2 am the party continues with DJ Jota's mobile disco, which will end an hour later.
In this New Year's Eve party there will also be a bar service at reduced prices of the Party Commission 2020.
New Year's Concert
The provincial council of Alicante has informed the City of Calpe that the New Year's Concert will not take place this year, as it has no budget for such an event
