The Calp City Council and the "Servicio de Atención a Domicilio" - Nursing Service demand the immediate vaccination of the staff assigned to this department from the Regional Ministry of Health.

The Mayor, Ana Sala, accompanied by the Councillor for Health, Ana Perles, and the Councillor for Social Welfare, Noelia Císcar, have met with the SAD staff who have conveyed to the municipal authorities their concern and sense of abandonment because, despite being on the front line of social and health care and being care workers, they have not yet been vaccinated.

Last March, the City Council sent a letter to the Regional Ministry asking for the vaccination of SAD staff and members of the Calp Civil Defence. The Regional Ministry said that the Civil Defence is made up of volunteers and does not require vaccination, but they undertook to vaccinate the SAD staff; but so far they have not been called for this purpose.

Due to its nature, the nursery service continues an activity even during the lockdown; its members are care assistants and are in direct contact with elderly and dependent people.
