Calp City Council joins the Plan Resiste promoted by the Generalitat Valenciana and allocates €231,783.3 to it, which represents 15% of the total and complements the 62.5% provided by the Generalitat and 22.5% contributed by the provincial administration.
The plan provides €1,545,222 in Calp for self-employed and micro-enterprises in the economic sectors mentioned in the decree: Hotels and accommodation establishments, campsites and caravan parks, restaurants and takeaways, provision of ready meals for events and beverage establishments. It also covers other activities such as film projection, travel agencies, tour operators, other booking services, the organization of congresses and fairs, performing arts and ancillary activities, the management of theatres, the management of sports facilities, the activities of sports clubs, gyms and other sporting activities, the activities of amusement parks and other recreational and entertainment activities.
The program consists of a direct subsidy of 2,000 euros for each self-employed person or micro-enterprise, increased by an additional 200 euros per employee covered by social security on 31 December. The amount each beneficiary receives can be a maximum of 10,000 euros and is also intended to cover current operating expenses from April 2020.
Participation in this aid is compatible with subsidies, aid, income or resources from national, EU or international administrations or public or private bodies and is granted for the same purpose provided for in this decree. This compatibility is subject to the condition that the amount of the aid, alone or together with others, does not exceed the cost of the subsidized activity.
Calp City Council has also prepared a package of 400,000 euros for this and other aid, which can be increased depending on how the situation develops. And for the year 2021, the City Council has abolished the fee for occupying the public roads, abolished the fee for the opening license and the rate for reserving the public roads for taxi stands and hotels.
Calp City Council is planning to meet with associations of traders and entrepreneurs to detail the content of the aid, which will be administered and distributed through the municipalities.
