The lifeguard and lifeguard service on Calpe's beaches, provided by the concessionary company Eulen, starts the summer season on Saturday. From 1 June, the lifeguard and lifeguard service will be provided daily on the beaches. Although the service began last April, after Easter and Easter Week it was concentrated on weekends, however, with the beginning of June the service will be daily again.

 

 Thus, during the months of June and September the lifeguard service will be open from 11am to 7pm and during the months of July and August the timetable will be extended from 10am to 8pm. In high season the service covers the beaches of Calalga, Fossa, Racó, Cantal Roig, Morelló, Arenal-Bol and Puerto Blanco and the boats are located at Fossa and Arenal-Bol. The fixed position of the ambulance is in Cantal-Roig, an intermediate point between the two large beaches of the municipality.

 

As for the staffing of the service, it is adapted to the needs of each season, so in mid-season the staff is set at 18 people and in high season the staff reaches up to 32 people. All lifeguard posts will have a defibrillator and oxygenation equipment.

 

 In terms of vehicles and boats, Eulen will have, in addition to the boat required in the tender, a rescue boat equipped with navigation materials and rescue features, a jet ski with floating stretcher, a VIR (rapid intervention vehicle) coordination vehicle equipped with defibrillator and oxygen equipment, two kayaks located in Racó and Cantal, two rescue boards and bicycles to move along the promenade.

 

 As for beach equipment, the Arenal-Bol, La Fossa and Cantal Roig beaches  and the coves of Calalga and Racó have toilets, the sandy beaches also have footbaths and walkways, and all have litter bins, even those of Arenal-Bol and La Fossa have a children's play area, sunbeds and water skates.
