The works consist in the reconstruction of the different accesses to the beach, respecting the accessibility and the parameters established by the coastal law. Some accesses will be modified to set them back outside the sand area and others will be relocated depending on the state of the promenade walls. The work, carried out by the Alicante Provincial Coastal Service, has a budget of 115,840.91 euros and a planned duration of 4 months.

In addition to these measures, the Coastal Service will carry out other repairs in the municipality, especially on the wooden accesses to Arenal-Bol beach and Calalga beach, which were also damaged by the effects of the storm in mid-January.

Reconstruction work will also soon begin on the walls of the promenade on La Fossa beach and their paving, which will be carried out by the Town Council. The work consists of repairing and restoring the sections of paving damaged by the storm, as well as demolishing loose pieces of wall and rebuilding them. The reconstruction of a 5-metre section of the wall is also planned.

These works, which are currently in the tendering process, have a budget of 118,383 Euros, with a planned duration of 6 weeks.

Depending on the speed of the works and the uncertainty of the tourist season, the City Council, together with the Provincial Coastal Service, will decide whether to suspend the works in July and August or not.
