Representatives of the Town Hall and Ilitia Mediterránea, the concessionaire of the municipal swimming pool, met recently to address the problems that have arisen in the management of the service. Although the Town Council has put forward a proposal to dissolve the contract, both parties have reached an agreement to maintain and improve the management of the municipal swimming pool.

Both the Town Hall and Ilitia Mediterránea have shown a willingness to overcome the differences and have consolidated a commitment to improve the service and offer the people of Calpe a first class programme of aquatic activities.

The company Ilitia Mediterránea has highlighted that at the beginning of the service there were a series of circumstances relating to the air conditioning of the facilities that are being resolved, and representatives of the company also pointed out that "in six months 500 users were reached" so there is a commitment to maintain and improve the service.

The mayoress, Ana Sala, said that "we want to give a new impetus to the management of the pool and send out the message that the pool is open and operational. From September there will be a new programme of activities, we have made a joint effort to put the difficulties behind us so that residents can enjoy a wide range of aquatic programmes and quality recreational activities".

Ilitia Mediterránea representatives said: "We strongly believe in the power of collaboration and mutual understanding. We are committed to working together with Calpe Town Hall to bring exceptional aquatic experiences to people's lives.
