Calpe City Council has opened the call for entries for the 13th edition of the ‘Antonio Ferrer, El Cartero’ National Amateur Theatre Contest. This event, which has established itself as a benchmark in the national amateur theatre scene, will take place in November 2025 at the Jaume Pastor i Fluixà Cultural Centre.

From today, a sculpture of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of sailors, welcomes all those who enter the port of Calpe. The sculpture, which the Calpe City Council has installed in the port area, was unveiled at midday today.

Last week, the Casa de Cultura Auditorium hosted the Calpe Music Festival for the DANA flood to raise funds for two musical entities affected, specifically, La Unión Musical Catarroja and La Unión Musical La Artesana de Catarroja, which suffered serious material damage.
