FiraCalpe2024 closed its doors yesterday after four days of intense activity, the 14th Calpe Trade and Gastronomy Fair received some 15,000 visitors over the four days of the event.
The Plenary of Calpe Town Hall today hosted the farewell ceremony for Juan Santos as Justice of the Peace in Calpe and Bernat Banyuls as his substitute, followed by the presentation of Hipólito Moreno as the new head judge and Naiara Fernández as substitute judge.
Calpe Town Council, through the Department of Equality, has created a working group to promote the feminisation of public spaces in the municipality. This initiative aims to break the gender gap in the names of streets, avenues and squares of the municipality and thus promote gender equality in public spaces.

Work has begun this week on the renovation of the pavement of the Domingo Crespo Pavilion, which was recently awarded to the company Soluciones Deportivas Ibaizabal for a total of 161,536€ and a completion period of two months.
Calpe Town Council has today reopened the facilities of the municipal swimming pool after it was closed last December following the cancellation of the contract with the concessionaire due to its numerous breaches of contract.
