Calpe Town Council and the ONCE Social Group held a working meeting yesterday with the aim of laying the foundations for establishing effective channels of collaboration between the two entities in the areas of accessibility, labour inclusion and visibility of people with disabilities.

Calpe will host Kortrijk Drumt, a well-known collective percussion event held in the Belgian town of Kortrijk, which will bring together more than 70 drummers in the town of Penyal. The show will be held on Monday 21st July to coincide with Belgium's National Day in the Plaza Mayor in Calpe.

The National Institute of Statistics has notified Calpe Town Council that the proposed population figure as of 1 January 2025 resulting from the revision of the municipal register is 27,616 inhabitants. A period for objections has now begun and if no objections are made, the INE's proposal will be officially approved.
