Calp City Council has reduced the average payment period to suppliers to 2.52 days in the last quarter of 2020. This figure surpasses the city council's previous best, which was 3.03 days in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Thus, the city takes an average of 2.52 days to pay its suppliers, which not only complies with late payment regulations that require public administrations to pay in a period of less than 30 days, but also reduces it significantly. It should be noted that the figure was 44.85 days in the third quarter of 2015 and as high as 1,000 days in 2011.

Calp City Council, through the Education Council, has installed CO2 meters and air purifiers in the four local schools and Silene d'Ifac kindergarten during the Christmas holidays. These measures are intended to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the classrooms.

The CO2 meters make it possible to sound an alarm if a room is not properly ventilated, putting teachers or pupils at risk. They are therefore particularly useful during this period of low temperatures, when the cold forces the windows to be closed.
