Calpe Town Council has awarded this week the works to finish the road J, specifically to link section I with section VI of this road that joins the Avenida de la Generalidad Valenciana with Avenida Casa Nova and Avenida Vall de Laguart. The works have been awarded to the Pavasal company for €2,158,254 with a completion period of 12 months.

The plenary session of the Calpe Town Council yesterday approved the rules for the granting of subsidies for the promotion of sports that focus on grassroots sport, the promotion of inclusive sport and the promotion of equality in local sport.
Calpe Town Council has drawn up a report on the works, investments and services that will be financed throughout 2024 from the surplus cash resulting from the liquidation of the previous year's budget. This is one of the points to be debated in tomorrow's ordinary plenary session.
Calpe is attending the 3rd Bologna Cycle Tourism Fair to be held from 5 to 7 April with the aim of promoting itself as a destination for the practice of this sport. This fair is the first event in Italy entirely dedicated to travel and cycling enthusiasts.

The Mayoress of Calpe, Ana Sala, and the councillors for Tourism Planning, Mireia Ripoll, and International Promotion, Marco Bittner, attended yesterday the inauguration of the new Easy Jet base at Alicante-Elche airport.
The National Statistics Institute has informed Calpe Town Council that its proposed population figure for the municipality as of 1 January 2024 is 26,821 inhabitants, 967 more than the previous year. A period of allegations is now open, and if no allegations are made, the INE's proposal will be officially approved.
