In defence of the local fishing industry, the political groups in Calp unanimously supported a motion at the last plenary session calling on the government and the other relevant public administrations to stop the APA 423/2020 regulation, the management plan for demersal resources for the conservation of certain species in the Mediterranean.
This is a plan adopted by the Spanish Government in application of a European regulation to establish biological limits that allow sustainable fishing and which imposes restrictions on fishing.

The plenary session in Calp, which took place yesterday afternoon, unanimously approved the Strategic Environmental and Territorial Report on the modification of the D-14 General Plan to change the construction parameters in the Morelló, Ifach, La Fossa and Saladar sectors. The report was approved by the Board of Directors after consultation with various municipal (Ministry of Commerce, Equality, Local Police ...) and supra-municipal (Coastal, Hydrographic Confederation of Júcar River...) bodies, which gave their approval.
Starting next Friday, July 17, the old town of Calp will once again become a large open-air museum thanks to the "Art al carrer" installation organized by the Ministry of Culture. It consists of various sculptural interventions in the historic centre with the theme "Mother Earth", which can be visited throughout the summer.
