The Calp City Council plenary session, with the support of all the city's political groups, initially approved the granting of direct aid to local businesses to mitigate the losses caused by the COVID 19 pandemic.
To this end, the City Council also unanimously adopted a budgetary amendment in plenary session, which makes it possible to allocate 1,000,000 euros to this aid. The aid will be between 1,000 and 600 euros and will be targeted at both self-employed people and small businesses operating in the municipality of Calp.

The City Council met this morning to discuss the plan for the transition to Phase 1 of the new normality and its implementation in the municipality. One of the most important agreements was to open the beaches of La Fossa and El Arenal for walking from Wednesday; sunbathing and lying on the sand is not allowed and the established time slots must be respected.
The Calp Local Police filed a total of 45 reports for violation of the mobility restrictions imposed by the state of alert between Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9. Many of these were due to failure to respect the time slots and conditions under which sports and street walking can be done.
As of today, Calp will start imposing fines on all those who do not comply with the established time slots and conditions for sports and walks.
Since these activities on the street were permitted last Saturday, May 2nd, the local police have been informing passers-by of the conditions under which these exits should take place. From now on, however, fines will be imposed due to the importance of respecting these rules.
Yesterday, the Consejo Municipal de Inteligencia Turística, Desarrollo Económico Local y Sostenibilidad (Council for Tourism Intelligence, Local Economic Development and Sustainability), which represents the entire tourism industry of Calp, met for the first time.
