The Mayor of Calpe, Ana Sala, accompanied by Ana Perles, Councillor for Health, travelled today to Alicante to meet Encarna Llinares, the Regional Government Commissioner for Health. The aim of the meeting is to find a solution to the problem of patient transport in Calpe.
Every Tuesday during July and August, the Calpe City Council has organised tours to the Roman archaeological remains of the "Banys de la Reina". These are free guided tours, led by the archaeologist Alicia Luján, who will explain the history and important details of the find.
The Festival Committee 2019 elects the Queen of the Festival of Calpe and the Queen of the Children on the Plaza Mayor on June, 29. The election begins at 22:00 and is the most important ceremony organised by the festival committee.
With the arrival of summer the Calpe City Council has launched another year the campaign to prevent and detect tiger mosquito. From June to October a company will be responsible for placing traps in different areas of the municipality to conduct a census of this insect and be able to act with greater forcefulness in areas where its presence is detected. This company will also carry out prevention work in the rest of the municipality.
One of the first measures of the government of the new mayor, Ana Sala, has been the signing of the decree by which the City Council orders the company that is carrying out building works on the Alemania street, which immediately paralyzes any type of discharged into the maritime-terrestrial public domain.
The City Council of Calpe has received a subsidy of 525 € from the Provincial Government of Alicante to subsidize 50% of a children's theatre.
